Overseas travel show featuring Wacky, a popular comedian, Wakana Fukushima, a TV personality, Angela Sato, a food fighter, and Akogare Kanai, HBC anchor. These four appears as a reporter or an "explorer," series by series. In each series, the explorer visits a country in Asia with an assignment looking for something related to Hokkaido. Each series are consisted with four to seven episodes. Viewers will enjoy the explorer's unexpected findings in destination countries, such as Hokkaido Ramen, Karate, used clothes from Hokkaido, students learned in Hokkaido, people who live there from Hokkaido, etc.

The program also shows famous tourist attractions in each country. This must be interesting for foreign viewers to watch how countries in Asia are filmed by Japanese. The series covered 13 countries and regions, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Philippines, Hong Kong, Nepal, Vietnam, Korea, Cambodia, Indonesia, Macau, and Sri Lanka.

It is also broadcasted in Hong Kong, Thailand, and more.

Sapporo native famous food fighter, Angela Sato travels to Singapore. She arrives at the airport early and gets breakfast in the city. She tries a soup called �gbak kut teh�h made from boiled spare ribs. Then she goes to stay at the home of a family in a high-class residential district. The family has visited Hokkaido before, and have a lot of affection for it.

Partly as an apology and partly as a show of gratitude, Angela prepares them a famous dish from Hokkaido. Then she visits a food stall district known as Hawkers to gorge herself on local Singapore food. Angela's gluttonous spirit is on fire!

With her homestay over, Angela travels around famous sightseeing spots, like Marina Bay Sands and Gardens By the Sea. Then, hoping to fill up on local delicacies, she travels from store to store sampling local food, like the traditional breakfast �gkaya toast,�h the crab dish �gchili crab,�h and �gfish head curry�h which is made by boiling a whole fish head.

Angela is issued missions with her breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the line. If she can't complete them, she won't get a proper meal. She manages to clear the mission for breakfast, and gets to sample ten dishes in the morning, but after that, it's a struggle. Angela's hunger is pushed to its limits.

Hokkaido-born comedian Wacky heads to Malaysia. He arrives at the airport in Kuala Lumpur, then heads right for the city at night. After checking out the night view from KL Tower, he heads for a food stall district. As he looks over the unfamiliar ingredients, a man at one of the stalls offers him a whole frog on a skewer! Wacky travels to Southeast Asia's largest Islamic temple, known as the Blue Mosque. He happens to run into a Japanese guide, who shows him around the mosque. The austere atmosphere moves Wacky to the core, and he begins to feel really drawn in by the charms of Malaysia. He visits other sites in Kuala Lumpur, such as a Hindu cave temple, and Chinatown.

Wacky takes the night train from Kuala Lumpur towards Penang Island. At dawn, he arrives, then takes a ferry from the station to the island. Released from his cramped sleeping quarters, he can now enjoy a resort vacation at a beach hotel. He also enjoys a stroll around George Town, which has been designated a World Heritage Site. He visits a pier residence built on the water, and gets a taste of that lifestyle.

Malaysia is a popular site for Japanese immigrants and long-term visitors, and Penang Island has many immigrants from Hokkaido. Wacky visits a Penang Island restaurant that offers noteworthy Hokkaido foodstuffs and ramen, and hears the Hokkaido shopkeeper's story of why he moved to the island from Japan. Wacky is also introduced to famous places on Penang Island, and spots for rest and relaxation that Japanese particularly enjoy.

Hokkaido-born former SDF member, now entertainer, Wakana Fukushima comes to Thailand. After arriving in Phuket, she gets a treatment at a spa in a resort hotel. Next, she heads for a structure where you can take an elephant tour. Wakana can drive large trucks, but can she handle an elephant?

In Phuket, Wakana tries out boat fishing and snorkeling, and makes the most out of the area's marine spots. She challenges a member of the crew with 40 years of experience to a fishing competition, then enjoys snorkeling on Coral Island with its beautiful sandy beaches. She also visits an an open-air market run by minority peoples. She buys fresh local ingredients to eat with the fish she caught earlier. A local Thai family teaches her how to prepare them, and they all enjoy dinner together.

Wakana travels from Phuket to Bangkok. In a Bangkok department store, she actually discovers a ski slope! While the Thai children who have never seen snow enjoy themselves, Wakana concocts a plan. At the pier market, she haggles for lower prices. She also tries out Muay Thai, a form of kickboxing.

Wakana travels from Bangkok to the ancent city Ayutthaya, and takes a leisurely cruise down the Chao Phraya River. The sight of sightseeing spots like Wat Arun and the Thai people's daily life along the riverbanks make the trip feel worthwhile. Ayutthaya is a city of ruins that, the entirety of which has been declared a World Heritage Site. She visits the major sites, and finally arrives at a mysterious temple where tree roots twine around the head of a Buddha statue.

Wacky goes to Taiwan. After arriving in Taipei, his first destination is a restaurant that serves a famous local delicacy called Xiaolongbao. Wacky has a taste for cheap local food and stall food, so he walks the stalls and tries the food there, looking for great places to eat that aren't listed in guidebooks.

In the Taipei suburbs, Wacky visits the hot spring district, Wulai, where he interacts with the indigenous people, the Atayal. While admiring their traditional dances, Wacky finds himself pulled into the dance circle. He also makes use of ropeways and trams, looking for little-known locations in Wulai.

Wacky takes an open-air bath in the hot spring district, Wulai, bonding with local people and visitors from all over the world. He is moved by the nostalgic streetfronts in the northern area of Taiwan. The people are kind there, and he enjoys delicious local delicacies. The next day, he leaves Taiwan's main island to visit Kinmen, an island right next to the China mainland.

On Kinmen Island, which still maintains a traditional facade, Wacky stays with a local family. He is treated to the family's home cooking and is surprised by the unique flavors. Then for his final destination, he visits Tainan, which is known as �gthe Kyoto of Taiwan.�h While taking a tour of tourist sites and landmarks, he also visits shops familiar to Japanese people.

Wakana Fukushima visits the Philippines. After arriving in Manila, she visits Intramuros, an area that still maintains traces of former Spanish rule. The Manila Cathedral at the center of the city is planned to be recreated as a snow sculpture at this year's Sapporo Snow Festival, to be enjoyed by tourists and Hokkaido natives. She also watches a practice held by a Filipino folk dance troupe who are expected to perform at the Sapporo Snow Festival.

Wakana joins the Filipino folk dance troupe's practice, and enjoys the complexities of the dance. She then goes island hopping, enjoying the resort island Cebu as well as Bohol. She plays with the world's smallest breed of tarsier, and meets local children while on a jungle cruise.

Wakana heads for a diving spot on Cebu Island. On a beach where if you're lucky, you can see sharks close up without wearing serious scuba equipment, Wakana's mission to connect the Philippines and Hokkaido grows even more difficult. At a top-class hotel, she enjoys a spa treatment, getting full enjoyment out of this summer resort that is the polar opposite of wintry Hokkaido.

HBC's new announcer Akogare Kanai goes to Hong Kong. First, she takes Hong Kong's famous Star Ferry to arrive on the main island. She finds the word �gHokkaido�h written on a poster in a two-story tram, so she goes looking for what they sell. She also experiences traditional yumcha delivered by cart, and gets a stamp made on a street that specializes in selling them.

Akogare puts on a cheongsam she bought in Hong Kong, and enjoys a luxurious dinner at a restaurant on a pier by the sea. She's moved to tears by her favorite food, Peking duck. After dinner, she travels to Victoria Peak to take in Hong Kong's �gmillion dollar view.�h The next day, she gets to see the unique views of the precious geological site in the resort area of Sai Kung. At a seafood restaurant, you can choose what you want to eat from a large fish tank, and have it prepared for you.

Akogare tries out a foot massager to ease the strain of travel. She then travels to a Japanese restaurant where a chef born in Hokkaido shows his skills. The restaurant is full of fresh Hokkaido ingredients. After that, she is given a tour around Hong Kong by local TV reporter �gRie�h and they head towards �gWong Tai Sin�h where it is said your wishes can come true.

�gWong Tai Sin�h is famous for its fortune-tellers. Akogare hopes to have her fortune told by one with a good reputation. She gets a surprising result regarding her �gwork fortune.�h She then takes a sampler tour of Hong Kong sweets with �gRie.�h She walks around Hong Kong eating sweets, like turtle jelly, which is said to improve a woman's complexion, and durian pancakes. Tears mark the end of her journey.

Wacky goes to Nepal, a country situated in the Himalaya Mountains. He immediately goes from Kathmandu Airport to Durbar Square at the center of the city. The square, which has been designated a World Heritage Site, conveys the history of Nepal. At the World Heritage temple Swayambhunath, he climbs the 365 stone stairs to the top, and is taken aback by the ruins and the many night views of the city of Kathmandu.

Wacky stays with the family of a Nepalese woman who once studied abroad in Hokkaido. The next morning, she shows him to Nagarkot, a sightseeing spot where he can take in a breathtaking view of the Himalayas. Afterwards, he visits Sankhu, a nostalgic old streetfront which has flourished for hundreds of years. Here he finds locally-grown potatoes, which are also a symbol of Hokkaido.

"Wacky tours the potato fields of Sankhu. He eats a potato as a snack, and compares the potatos in Nepal to the ones in Hokkaido, studying the differences between them. He returns to Kathmandu, and visits a jewelry shop run by a Nepalese man whose wife was born in Hokkaido. His wife passionately explains to Wacky why she decided to live in Nepal. (Nepal-4 was postponed due to Nepal earthquake)"

Wakana Fukushima travels to Vietnam. In the old marketplace of Hanoi, she gets to do some shopping she's been looking forward to. She buys an Ao dai, the traditional dress of Vietnam. She meets young children who are learning Japanese, tastes popular Vietnamese home cooking, walks around town trying sweets, and visits Hanoi's universities, all while wearing the Ao dai.

At a Japanese restaurant in Hanoi, Wakana encounters Pacific saury, a type of fish caught in Hokkaido. She's surprised that it tastes just as delicious, even in another country. Then she visits the Hom marketplace, where she visits a restaurant that serves Pho, the iconic dish of Vietnam. Then she travels around Hanoi, looking at the Vietnamese homes by the roadside.

Wakana enjoys a performance of Hanoi's famous Water Puppet Theater, then visits backstage. She also discovers a popular bakery that serves bread made with flour and butter from Hokkaido. For dinner, she's introduced to hot pot dishes at a restaurant popular with the locals. The next day, she travels to the World Heritage Site, Ha Long Bay. She take a boat cruise while enjoying the incredible sights.

The boat cruise through Ha Long Bay stops at a mystical spot. While on the boat, Wakana is moved to tears by a delicious lunch that makes use of local seafood. Moving to central city Da Nang, she goes parasailing on a private beach, gets a spa treatment at a hotel, and generally gets the most out of resort life. She hears there's a man in Da Nang with a deep connection to Hokkaido, so she travels to meet him.

A twenty-year-old Cambodian man doing training in a Hokkaido company has a videophone conversation with his family in their sugarcane juice restaurant. Wacky is moved by the bonds shared by parents and child. Afterwards, he interacts with a group of high school friends as well as college students learning Japanese. He then travels to Siem Reap, gateway to the site of ancient ruins.

Wacky travels to the ruins of Angkor Wat, which he has wanted to visit all his life. He's surprised by the luxury of the resort hotel in the gateway city Siem Reap. At a Japanese classroom with strong ties to Hokkaido, Wacky stands at the lecturn and teaches Japanese, mixed in with various jokes. Then at last, the long-awaited ruins tour begins.

During breakfast at the Siem Reap resort hotel, Wacky tries Cambodian-grown natto. Wanting to learn the secret of its deliciousness, he goes to the factory where it's made. There he meets the staff, who are seeking to increase the popularity of natto in Cambodia. He tries traditional Cambodian sweets, and at a land mine museum that tells the story of the tragedies of the civil war, Wacky finds himself in tears at the story of the museum's curator.

Wakana Fukushima explores Seoul at night. She is impressed by a form of popular local entertainment, a drawing show, and visits backstage. In business district Myeong-dong, she tries Korean foods dak galbi and Korean barbecue cheese at a popular local restaurant. The next day, she visits the �gstreet museum�h where pictures are drawn all over the city itself. Then in a marketplace with over 100 years of history, she tries making her own bibimbap.

She also stops by a bakery that is popular with locals.
