@HBC Belgium / EU Square

This is "HBC Belgium / EU Square," dedicated to international friendship.

We have erected replicas of "Brussels Stock Exchange" and "Mannequin Pis" by featuring Brussels, Belgium, where the EU headquarters is located, to commemorate the circulation of the unified official currency of the 12 European Union countries, the euro, from January 1 this year.

uBrussels Stock Exchangev

The original "Brussels Stock Exchange" is an example of a neo-classical style building, which was built by architect Leon P. Suys in 1873 as a social interaction place for Belgian barons. The upper parts of the six Corinthian column capitals are adorned with ornaments, created with the participation of sculptor Auguste Rodin, symbolizing Belgium's protection of industry and commerce.

uMannequin Pisv

The medium-sized snow statue to the eastern side of the square is a replica of the "Mannequin Pis." The original statue is also called "Petit Julien," and its fame has spread throughout the world. The number of its various costumes presented from many countries of the world exceed 250.
